Gregory ‘Greg’ A. Durr

Aug. 27, 1952 - Nov. 26, 2012

Noblesville — Gregory “Greg” A. Durr, 60, Noblesville, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, in his home. He was born Aug. 27, 1952, in Kokomo, to Mahlon A. and Peggy J. (Kellar) Durr, who survive. On July 22, 1972, Greg married Melissa A. May in Kokomo, and she survives.

Greg graduated from Kokomo High School in 1970, and then continued his education with a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. He was currently the sales manager at Southworth Ford Lincoln Mercury in Marion, where he had been employed more than 15 years. He worked previously as a car sales manager at Erik’s Chevrolet in Kokomo, and Bill McCoy Ford Lincoln Mercury in Muncie. Greg enjoyed playing poker, fishing and was an avid IU and Colts fan.

In addition to his wife, Greg is also survived by his children, Alexander J. and his significant other, Katie Clark Durr, and Kerensa L. and spouse, Brandon Hatcher Durr; his parents, Mahlon A. and Peggy J. Durr; a sister, Marsha Kim Sapp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Greg will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., with the family officiating. Greg’s friends and family are welcome to join for a time of visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Greg will be privately laid to rest in Crown Point Cemetery.

In Greg’s memory, contributions can be directed to either the Alzheimer’s Association or the Loving Hands Adult Day Services.
