Marlene J. Fisher, 76, Kokomo, passed away at 1:24 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at her residence. She was born May 24, 1936 in Albany to the late Elmer E. and Gladys (Aaron) Posey. On March 19, 1960 in Clinton County, she married Donald Fisher, who survives.
Marlene graduated from Frankfort High School. She worked for her father at Posey Richards Motors in Frankfort as a bookkeeper. She volunteered for the Red Cross through Community Howard Regional Hospital, and she also loved doing crosswords puzzles.
Surviving is her husband; Donald Fisher, Kokomo, daughter; Lynette Irwin, Fishers, son; Brett Fisher, Lexington, S.C., two grandsons; Tyler and Chris Irwin. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law; Elmer (Helen) Posey Jr., Frankfort, Dennis (Chris) Posey, Frankfort.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother; Arnold Posey.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., with Pastor Harold Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Red Cross.
