Kevin Byrne Wilcox

Nov. 5, 1956 - Aug. 9, 2009

Kevin Byrne Wilcox, 52, Kokomo, died at 11:05 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, in Howard Regional Health System, Kokomo. Born Nov. 5, 1956, in St. Catherine, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late Paul Wilcox and Madeline (Byrne) Wilcox, who survives.

He was a 1974 graduate of Western High School. He most recently was employed at Windsor Estates Health and Rehabilitation Center. He also worked as a brick mason for 30 years. He loved cooking and was an avid Colts fan.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashley and husband Brett Altmiller, Kokomo; his mother, Madeline Wilcox, Kokomo; five brothers, Larry and wife Karen Wilcox, Hobbs, N.M., Tom and wife Sally Wilcox, Rossville, Ted and wife Mary Wilcox, Sharpsville, and Kerry and wife Kathy Wilcox and Michael Wilcox, both of Kokomo; two sisters, Maryann Thomas, West Lafayette, and Laurie and husband Rick Bannon, Kirklin; 13 nieces and nephews; and 3 great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. Father Ted Dudzinski will officiate. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until service time Thursday at the mortuary.

Memorials may be directed to Howard Regional Oncology Department. Envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
