Ralph A. Murdock

Ralph A. Murdock, 71, Kokomo, passed away peacefully at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012. He was born Dec. 13, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Walter and Crissy (Curcher) Murdock. On Nov. 23, 1979, in Las Vegas, he married Carole (Perlioni) Murdock. Mrs. Murdock survives.

Ralph graduated from West Tech High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He then began his working career in management in the food service industry. After retiring from management in 1987, he started his own home and commercial cleaning business, which he owned and operated until 2008.

Ralph was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Kokomo. Ralph was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed working in his yard. He loved making people laugh. He also enjoyed his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Carole Murdock; his three children, Sheri Murdock, Kokomo, Corrine (Eric) Baker, Plainfield, Jim (Angela) Murdock, Sharpsville; and eight grandchildren, Jonathan Rhum, Carly Baker, Max Baker, Samantha Baker, McKenna Baker, Jimmy Murdock, Joshua Murdock and Caleb Murdock.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Wally Murdock.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene, 2734 S. Washington St., with Pastor David Leeder officiating. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery in Kokomo. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
