Velma Dean Lowdermilk, 83, Kokomo, went to be with her Lord at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, from Miller’s Merry Manor, Tipton. Born Oct. 4, 1929, in Judsonia, Ark., she was the daughter of the late William Siler and Oma (McKnight) Siler.
She was a homemaker and also worked at Delco Electronics. She attended One Accord Church. She loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Michael K. (Glenda) Lowdermilk, Kokomo, and Thomas V. Lowdermilk, Indianapolis; one daughter, Ruth (Brent) Foster, Sharpsville; two brothers, Carl (Marie) Siler, Searcy, Ark., and Ralph (Goldie) Siler, Greenwood; four sisters, Carol (Bob) Paul, Corinth, Miss., Cartha Shrock, Kokomo, Linda (Lewis Sr.) Frazier and Anita (Bob) Gatlin, all of Sharpsville; sister-in-law, Jean Siler; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Bob, Bill, Verneal and Jim Siler.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. Pastor Kim Drake will officiate. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
