Sharon S. Hollingsworth Mote

— Dec. 18, 1930 - Aug. 9, 2010

Sharon S. Hollingsworth Mote, 79, Kokomo, died at 1:46 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at her home. She was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Kokomo, to Hobart and Roxanne (Thatcher) Hollingsworth. She married Leonard E. Mote on Jan. 1, 1949, and he survives.

She was a high school graduate and a homemaker. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. She liked bowling, fishing, singing and cooking. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and led many people to know Him.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Mote, Kokomo; children, Rick Mote and wife Janet, Marlene Dowden and husband Jim, Larry Mote and wife Kim, David Mote and wife Sue, Ron Mote and wife Carrie, Rita Bretl and husband Jim, and Jimmy Mote and wife Tish; one brother, Jack Hollingsworth; 31 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and one sister.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Stout and Son Funeral Home Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Joseph Quiles officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
