Nov. 26, 1941 - March 7, 2013

— Sharon E. Haworth, 71, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Seton Hospital in Indianapolis. Heaven gained an angel, and Dad got his partner back. Sharon was born Nov. 26, 1941, to Don and Pearl (Lewis) Sweeney. On Jan. 18, 1959, she married Danny Jo Haworth.

In 1975, they started Dan’s Variety Bakery. Sharon always liked to stay in the background, but if it were not for her hard work and dedication, lots of us today wouldn’t have experienced a donut from Dan’s. She was the most generous person we knew. She never forgot a birthday. She loved Christmas and showering gifts on those she loved.

She is survived by her sons, Dan (Vicki) Haworth Jr., Jeff (Sheila) Haworth, Brian (Faye Mak) Haworth and Donnie Haworth; daughters, Vicki Griggs, Rhonda Haworth and Kimber (Mike) Brown; grandchildren, D. Joe (Misty) Griggs, Amber Griggs, Zach Haworth, Kerry Haworth, Brittany Haworth, Caleb McKee, Caitlyn Haworth, Nicholas Haworth, Brianna Haworth, Stephanie Conner and Ben King; great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Kaly, Delany, Christian, Gavin and Abby; brother, Tom (Diane) Sweeney; and sisters, Janet (Rex) Watson and Rita (Tom) Reed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny, on Aug. 17, 2010; her parents; and son-in-law, Danny Griggs.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery’s Chapel of Peace with Pastor Greg Reed officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home.
