Darian Elizabeth Davis, 21, Sharpsville, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, in Howard County, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born Dec. 17, 1990, in Kokomo, to Troy and Ricque (Roberts) Davis.

Darian was an education major at Ivy Tech Community College in Kokomo. She graduated from Tri-Central High School in 2009 and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipton. She loved cheerleading, gymnastics and her pet dogs, but most of all her family, her fiance, Chad, and her precious 7-month-old daughter, Berkeley. She was cheerful, full of love and life, and a joy to those who loved her. She will be remembered by so many as one who encouraged others.

She is survived by her mother, Ricque Roberts and husband Kevin Adkinson, Sharpsville; her father, Troy Davis, Tipton; daughter, Berkeley Anne Boruff, at home; fiance, Chad Boruff, Sharpsville; two brothers, Dylan Davis, North Dakota, and Dalton Davis, at home; grandmother, Pat Shrock, Greentown; a grandfather, Rick Roberts, Elkhart; a great-grandmother, Corene Lobeck, Kokomo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Darian’s funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, 216 W. Jefferson St., Tipton, with the Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Berkeley Boruff Education Fund at Star Financial Bank, 874 E. Jefferson St., Tipton, IN 46072.

    Helen Louise Brown, 85, Kokomo, died Monday, May 21, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She was the daughter of Edna and George Seitz, Walkerton. On Dec. 19, 1948, at Walkerton Methodist Church, she married Milton Brown, who survives. Helen and Milt were married for more than 63 years.

    Mary Edith (Knight) Ratcliff, 93, Kokomo, died at 11:11 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2012, at her home, where she had been cared for by her family. She was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Clinton County. She was one of three daughters born to the late Evert and Edith (Finney) Knight. On July 4, 1939, she married Chester Ratcliff who preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1977.
