Lois J. (Brown) Morr, 84, Kokomo, passed away at 2:39 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab. She was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Rockford, Ill., to John Charles and Margaret Dorothy (Piltz) Dikkers. She had been married to John L. Brown, then later married Robert Morr. Both preceded her in death.
Lois wore many hats and worked several jobs, sometimes more than one at a time, to raise her family. Among those jobs, she retired from Accurate Parts in Kokomo, and later from St. Joseph Hospital after many years of service. She loved to travel, play cards and was an avid bridge player.
Survivors include sons, Michael and wife Ann Brown, Westfield, Patrick and wife Karen Brown, Mishawaka, and Mark and wife Angie Brown, Carmel; daughter, Kathryn Bogue, Kokomo; seven grandchildren, Eric, Laurel, Elsie, Geoffrey, Jarrett, Holly and Ashley; and one great-granddaughter, Kyla.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert D. and Dale M. Dikkers.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St. Friends may visit with the family from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
