Betty R. (Wright) Hunt, 86, formerly of Kokomo, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Parkwood Health Care Center, Lebanon. She was born Dec. 8, 1925 in Kokomo, to the late Dewey G. and Lela (Stewart) Wright. She was educated at the Indiana School for the Blind until her marriage to William W. Hunt on March 15, 1946. William preceded her in death Nov. 2, 2012. Betty loved music and started playing violin in high school, a talent she used throughout her life. Her greatest joy was raising her children, spending time with five grandchildren, worshiping and singing with friends. She was a dedicated Jehovah Witness for 46 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Cathy (Mark) Fachini, Lebanon, and Lori (Randall) Brooker, Indianapolis; two sons, Michael (Beverly) Hunt, Battle Creek, Mich., and Wesley (Kathy) Hunt, Warsaw; two brothers, Richard (Deloris) Wright, Daggett, Mich., and Larry Wright; and five grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Hunt; one sister, Isabelle Dodrill; one brother, Dewey Wright; and stepmother, Frances Wright.
There will be a memorial service for Betty at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness 2317, Zartman Road, with visitation prior to the service, starting at 1 p.m. At a later date, Betty’s remains will be privately laid to rest in Crown Point Cemetery along with her husband William’s.
