Jeannine L. Greenwood

March 29, 1948 - Jan. 23, 2013

Jeannine L. Greenwood, R.N., C.N.N., 64, Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at her home. She was born March 29, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Richard A. and Elizabeth (Miller) Beecher. On Sept. 9, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio, she was married to Michael E. Greenwood, who survives.

Jeannine was a 1969 graduate of Riverside White Cross School of Nursing, receiving the award for being the outstanding student nurse in her class. Jeannine excelled in the nursing profession for 30 years.

In addition to nursing, she enjoyed quilting, baking, cake decorating and crafts of many kinds. Most of all Jeannine was a devoted preacher’s wife, mother and grandmother.

Jeannine was a member of Macedonia Christian Church, where her husband, Mike, was the senior minister.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Greenwood; sons, Matthew Greenwood, Andrew (Heather S.) Greenwood; grandsons, Andrew and Luke Greenwood; granddaughters, Blake, Libby and Brooke Greenwood; daughter-in-law, Heather J. Greenwood; a brother, Richard C. Beecher; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Sean Greenwood.

Funeral services are 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Macedonia Christian Church, 1532 S. 500 East, Kokomo, with John Piotrowicz officiating. Burial will take place in Cheshire Cemetery, Delaware County, Ohio. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the church.
