Rosie Lee Oliver, 90, Kokomo, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in Detroit, Mich. Rosie Lee Oliver was born on May 29, 1922, in Jackson, Miss., the daughter of Will Adams and Fannie Walton.
She was employed as an assembler at Delco Electronics, retiring June 1, 1987. She had been a member since 1961 of Second Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board. She also was a faithful member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Oliver.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Shivers (Elbert); stepdaughter, Jeanette Cooper (Charles) of California; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one special niece, Kim Oliver, Washington, D.C.; nephew, Edward Fleming, California; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, friends and her Second Baptist Church family.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Louis Parham will be the officiant and eulogist. Friends may call from 9 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery.
