Ruth Riche, 92, passed away peacefully at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in her home. She was born May 5, 1920, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Albert and Abby Gail (Turner) Fishero. She married Elbert Riche in Indianapolis on May 7, 1938, and he preceded her in death on March 8, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers.
Ruth was an outstanding homemaker, dedicating her life to her family. She had an amazing work ethic and cared for them at all times. Her family was her life. They all had deep gratitude and love for her and she will be sadly missed.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed crocheting and reading.
Survivors include her daughters, Alice (John) Beets, Ruthie Gilliam, Susan Riche, Mary (Fred) McKee, Deborah (Bill) Meiring and Peggy Horton; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Hendricks.
The family has chosen to celebrate her life privately in lieu of a funeral, just the way “Moo” would have wanted it. Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown, assisted the family with arrangements.
