Alyce Joann Moore

Jan. 29, 1932 - Oct. 30, 2012

Alyce Joann Moore, 80, Kokomo, passed away at noon Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at her residence. Born Jan. 29, 1932, in Carroll County, she is the daughter of the late Robert Scott and Myrle (Everett) Scott. On Jan. 17, 1953, she married Willard O. Moore Jr. in Delphi. He preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 2007.

She and Willard were former co-owners of Moore’s Pie Shop. Alyce also worked at UPI. She was a member of Galveston United Methodist Church and volunteered at the Howard County Historical Society. She enjoyed gardening, painting, going to lunch with her friends, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include one daughter Paula (Ted) Goff of Kokomo; two sons Mark (Teresa) Moore of West Lafayette, and Ed (Lisa) Moore of Kokomo; one brother Robert Scott of Camden; grandchildren Brenna (Adam) Snyder, Sara (Adam) Vandewalle, Troy Moore, Allison Moore, Ryan Moore and Robert Moore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Joe Scott; and sister, Dana Parrett.

Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Friday at Galveston United Methodist Church, 515 S. Maple St., Galveston. Pastor Roy E. Ice will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
