— John Thomas Romack, 93, Sharpsville, passed away at 12:34 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at his home. He was born Nov. 14, 1919, in Sharpsville, to Otho G. and Ethel (Hoback) Romack. He was married to Laura Belle (Bussler) Romack March 17, 1945, in Abeedeen, Md. She preceded him in death in 2009.

John graduated from Prairie High School. He served for 30 months with the 5th Army Corps in England, Africa and Italy during World War II. He retired from Stellite in 1977 after 30 years working as a maintenance machinist. He was a member of United Steel Workers of America 2958, Stellite Quarter Century Club and Izaack Walton Club.

Survivors include one son, Dale and Jeanetta (Reckell) Romack, Kokomo; two grandsons, Keith M. Rogers, Kokomo, and Chad and wife Chris Romack, Warsaw; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Romack; and one brother, Allen Romack, Sharpsville.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and one brother, Richard Romack.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Boyer Funeral Home, 204 N. Church St, Sharpsville, with Pastor Tim Tranbarger officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to New Horizons Healthcare, with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
