Dona Dawn Easterly, 42, Sharpsville, passed away at 3:05 a.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Howard Regional Health System. She was born March 1, 1967, in Tipton, to Voyle F. and Lillian F. (Hunter) Riley. On Oct. 8, 1995, she married David L. Easterly in Monticello, Ky., and he survives.

She graduated from Tipton High School in 1985. She lived all her life in Tipton County. She was a member of Kempton Christian Church. She liked flowers and enjoyed young people. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed life.

Survivors include her husband, David Easterly; four children, Sara L. and husband Steve Cox, Ryan G. Musson, Arielle K. Willshaw, and Dalton L. Easterly, all of Sharpsville; two grandchildren, Nevaeh M. and Tanner D.; sisters, Lillian (Louise) Kalandyk, Bell, Fla., Elizabeth (Toots) Floyd, Anderson, Peggy I. and husband Ted Burke, Kempton, and Sharon R. Miller, Tipton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Donald W. Riley, in 1997.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Boyer Funeral Home, Sharpsville. Burial is at Kempton Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Boyer Funeral Home.

Dana George Askren, 61, Windfall and formerly of Kokomo, Tipton and Mount Vernon, Ky., died early Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at his residence. He was born Aug. 27, 1950, in Elwood to George M. and Margaret (Ogden) Askren. He married Judith Faye Bradshaw in 1975.

Donald R. Jerrels, Sr., 75, Peru, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo. He was born April 23, 1936, in Dugger, to James and Mary (Buckner) Jerrels. On Nov. 20, 1989, he married Marcia Miller, and she survives.

William J. Buchmiller, 87, Clearwater, Fla., passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, under the loving care of his family and hospice. He was born March 23, 1924, in Greenville, Ill., and lived most of his life in Kokomo.

David Gibson Beard, 64, Kokomo passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Oct. 15, 1947, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Samuel and Claudia (Walker) Gibson. He was one of three sons born to this union, including Samuel Jr. and Devere. After the death of their parents and grandparents, the boys were adopted by Earl Nathan and Gladie Lee Beard, Kokomo.

Mabel Berniece Shaw, 97, Greentown, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Century Villa Nursing Home, Greentown. Berniece was born in Cyclone on Nov. 1, 1914, to the late William and Margaret Benge. She married Alton Leroy Show on April 6, 1933, in Kokomo. Alton preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2003.
