Lois Jean Hofstetter

Feb. 27, 1928 - Jan. 4, 2013

Lois Jean Hofstetter, 84, Kokomo formerly of Chicago, died at 1:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at North Woods Village Health Care. She was born Feb. 27, 1928, in Evanston, Ill., to Miss Olga (Nelson) Reynolds. She was married to Francis Marvin Hofstetter. He passed away in 1979.

Lois was a Oak Park High School graduate. She retired from the American Society of Real Estate Counselors in 1992 as executive vice president. Lois was an avid Cubs fan.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandi (Lynn) Coleman, Kokomo; one grandchild, Joe Carter; three stepgrandchildren, Landon Coleman, Josh Coleman and Caleb Coleman.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis Marvin Hofstetter; and a granddaughter, Annie Carter.

Friends may call from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairfield Christian Church, 1476 E. 400 South. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plains, Ill., with Pastor John Paulson officiating the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Fairfield Christian Church or Shriners Children’s Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Stout & Son Funeral Home at 200 E. Main St., Russiaville.
