Paula Delene (Rennaker) Sherman, 59, Seymour, Tenn., formerly of Converse, went home to be with the Lord at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013. She was born Jan. 18, 1953, in Peru, the daughter of Paul D. and Mary Kay (Ford) Rennaker. On June 10, 1989, in Ft. Myers, Fla., she married Raymond Sherman Jr., who survives.
Paula was a 1971 graduate of Eastern High School. She then attended Indiana University, where she received a degree as a radiologic technologist and went on to be a certified mammographer. After 25-plus years in the X-ray field, she returned to school, attending Johnson Bible College, where she earned a degree in Mission Studies. After serving on several mission trips to Haiti and Africa, she returned to Johnson Bible College where she worked in the library.
Paula was a member of the Gap Creek Christian Church in Knoxville, Tenn. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Anthony, who truly was her pride and joy.
Paula is survived by her loving husband, Ray Sherman, Seymour, Tenn.; son, Tony Miscoi; daughter-in-law, Lenna Miscoi; grandson, Anthony Miscoi, Converse; parents, Paul and Mary Kay Rennaker, Kokomo; mother-in-law, Muriel Sherman, Seymour, Tenn.; sister, Claudia Rudolph; brother-in-law, James Rudolph; niece, Mallory Rudolph-King; nephew, Chris Rudolph; as well as many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Raymond Sherman, Sr.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Converse Church of Christ, 301 E. Wabash St., Converse, with Pastor John Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Grant Memorial Park in Marion. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, and one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.
