William A. Veach, 73, Deer Creek, died at 12:43 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at his residence. Born Sept. 4, 1939, in Bloomington, he was the son of Ivan and Evylan Veach.
He graduated from Camden High School in 1957. He retired from Chrysler Corp.’s Kokomo Transmission Plant in 1993.
He enjoyed motorcycle riding, old cars, football, NASCAR and practical jokes. He was a charter member of the Idlers Car Club. He did volunteer work and attended Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Mount Zion Lodge 211 F&AM, Center Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine and the Logansport Shrine Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mickie, one son and two stepsons, one grandson, one granddaughter, three brothers, one sister, two step-grandsons and two step-granddaughters.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Cree Funeral Home, Camden. Eastern Star services will be at 7 p.m., Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. and the Shrine Processional at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Camden Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
