Bob E. Rudd

March 5, 1937 - Jan. 20, 2013

Bob E. Rudd passed away at 2 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at his home in Converse.

Bob was born March 5, 1937, in Seco, Ky., to the late James Russell and Bertha (Lykins) Rudd.

Bob was a supervisor with Chrysler in Kokomo for 30 years. He loved to fish. He attended South Marion Freewill Baptist Church. Bob was an Army veteran.

He married Treva “Terry” Rudd, and she died in September 1999. On Aug. 15, 2002, he married Ruth M. Stephens, and she survives in their Converse home.

Also surviving are a son, Gary (Dawn) Rudd, Amboy; daughter, Tina Marie (Mike) Horsley, Kokomo; stepchildren, Kathleen (Richard) Johnson, Texas, Darlene (Charles) Hicks, Portage, Arylene Putman, Nappanee, James C. (Linda) Vance, Michigan City, Bill D. Vance, Michigan City, Tom (Lisa) Stephens, Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six stepchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A sister and two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Bob will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Larrison-Martin Chapel, 308 E. Marion St., Converse, with the Rev. Emery Bailey officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Converse Cemetery, Converse, with military honors.
