Dennis G. Crawford

Feb. 26, 1961 - Jan. 25, 2013

Dennis G. Crawford, 51, Kokomo, passed away at 3 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born on Feb. 26, 1961, in Kokomo, to the surviving Wayne Crawford and Sharon (Nearon) Crawford.

Dennis attended Kokomo High School and then served with the United States Army. Later Dennis worked for Flowers by Ivan and Rick, making deliveries, and also for C. Wilkerson Body and Frame as a wrecker truck driver. Dennis enjoyed pastimes such as camping, fishing, boating, riding motorcycles and spending time with his friends.     

Dennis is survived by his children, Marianne (Ray) Easton, Dennis Spencer, Adam (Sheri) Spencer and Kyle Wheeler; his grandchildren, Savanna, Adam Jr., Mariah, Jeffery and Dakota; his parents, Wayne Crawford and Sharon Crawford; his brother, Greg Crawford; a brother-in-law, Stan Cardwell; a nephew, Stanley Cardwell Jr.; best friend, Paula Johnson; Zetta Jackson, who was like a sister; and his pit bull, Ratchet.

Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Dean Crawford, and his sister, Kimberly Cardwell.   

There will be a funeral service at noon Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary, Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo, with Pastor Nettie Evans officiating. Dennis’ friends and family are welcome to join for a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday, also at the mortuary. Following the services, Dennis will be cremated and privately laid to rest in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, Kokomo.

Ellers Mortuary, Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., assisted the family with arrangements.
