George Edwin Stewart, 88, Crescent Springs, Ky., died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood.
He was a business executive and a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanne A. Stewart, one sister, and six brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Stewart, Crescent Springs; his sons, Christophe G. Stewart, Louisville, Ky., and Gregory B. (Jeanine) Stewart, Shanghai, China; his daughters, Maureen (Michael) Popper, Delray Beach, Fla., Lysa (John Donohue) Stewart, Laguna Beach, Calif., Sheila S. (Dan) Shook, Morrow, Ohio, and Cathleen Q. Stewart, Doylestown, Pa.; his brother, John (Jean) Stewart, Lynnfield, Mass.; and his stepson, Larry Scott Hamblin (Liz), Crescent Springs. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Erlanger, Ky. Funeral service will be at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday.
