Merrie A. Worley, 60, Kokomo, passed away at 10:37 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at her residence. She was born Oct. 5, 1952, in Tipton, to Theodore Harold Featherstone and Nina Frances (Crawford) Featherstone. On Feb. 28, 1981, in Kokomo, she married Roger Lowe Worley, who survives. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1987.
She had worked for General Motors in Kokomo and also was an Avon representative for many years. She was a member of UAW Local 292 and volunteered at Darrough Chapel School. Merrie enjoyed fishing, crocheting and watching her grandchildren play sports.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Worley, Kokomo; daughter, Tammy A. Sharp, Miami County; daughter, Heather M. and husband Robert Beasley, Kokomo; brother, Mike and wife Vicky Featherstone, Bunker Hill; brother, Jim and wife Cica Featherstone, Kokomo; sister, Penny and husband Jerry Martin, Kokomo; sister, Pam and husband Steve Hicks, Galveston; two grandchildren, Bradley Worley and C-airah Worley, Kokomo; and her pet and best friend, Rocky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Stephen Featherstone.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., with Greg Reed officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, two hours prior to the service at the mortuary.
