E. Marlin Bruner

Everett Marlin Bruner, 80, Kokomo, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at his home. He was born March 12, 1929, in Walton, to Daniel and Nora Mae (Crockett) Bruner. He married Shirley (White) Bruner on April 19, 1958, in Walton, and she survives.

He worked for Union Labor Local #274, Lafayette, and was a 50-year member of the union. He spent last 10 years in Carlisle as a custodian. He was a 50-year member of the Eagles Lodge in Logansport.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, Kokomo; daughters Terri and husband Terry Holcomb, Galveston, and Carmen and husband Tony Arcuri, Burke, Va.; five grandchildren, Justin Holcomb, Galveston, Lori and husband Bob Rodkey, Peru, and A.J., Jake and Erin Arcuri of Burke, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Katheryn and Ryley Rodkey, Peru; and brother Lloyd and Betty Bruner, Walton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and four sisters.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Murray-Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston, with Chaplain Joyce Brooks and son-in-law Tony Arcuri officiating. Burial will follow in Galveston Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 12 noon until service time Friday at the funeral home.
