W. Maurice Hahn, 79, Bunker Hill, was reunited with his wife, Judith (Aaron) Hahn, at the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, their 59th wedding anniversary. He died at Caring Hands Nursing Home in Peru.
He was a lifetime farmer in Miami County, as well as a lifetime member of McGrawsville United Methodist Church. They enjoyed their winter home in Braden Castle Park, Bradenton Florida and the family farm in Bunker Hill.
He is survived by his son, Mark Hahn and wife Cindy, Bunker Hill; and his daughter, Teresa (Hahn) Stoner and husband Bryan, Kansas City, Mo. Also surviving are granddaughters Stacy Hahn and fiance Norman Truax, Logansport, Lindsey Shields and husband Coby, Kansas City, Mo., and Chelsie Stoner, Kansas City, Mo. He is also survived by his only grandson, Aaron Stoner, also of Kansas City, Mo.; sisters, Vera Margaret and husband Harry Pressey, Bradenton, Fla., and Marlene and husband Bob Pier, Peru.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston, with the Rev. Kenny Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Rankin Cemetery, Miami County. Visitation will be noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
