GALVESTON — Raymond L. Gaddis, 53, Kokomo, died at 3:20 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, in his residence.

Born Sept. 15, 1956, in Kokomo, he was the son of John Gaddis and Flora Hoff Sharp. Ray was raised by his second father, Jerry Sharp, after his father passed away when he was very young. He was married Nov. 22, 1978, in Walton, to Paula Gaddis, who survives.

Raymond was a mechanic at Sears Automotive for 10 years. He also played Santa at the Kokomo Mall for nine years.

He was a lifetime member of the Bow Hunter’s Club and enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son.

Also surviving are daughters, Flora Beauchamp and Brenda Gaddis, both of Kokomo; son, Raymond Gaddis Jr., Kokomo; grandchildren, Ethan Gaddis, Orrin Duke, Aragon Duke, Joshua Rivers and Keeley Rivers; sisters, Marie and husband, Jerry DeWit, and Lori and husband, Rob Woods, all of Kokomo; and mother, Flora Sharp, Kokomo.

He was preceded in death by both fathers, John Gaddis and Jerry Sharp; and sister, Deborah Wade.

Services are at 1 p.m. Monday at Murray-Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston, with Pastor Chuck Armstrong officiating.

Burial is at Walton IOOF Cemetery, Walton.
