Nancy J. Deniston, 63, Walton, died at 3:56 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo. She was born Sept. 22, 1946, in Howard County to Harold F. and Mary J (McClure) Kelly. She married Darl Dean Deniston on Oct. 16, 1971, in Walton, and he survives.
She worked as the office manager for Brada Miller Trucking and then went to work for Southeastern School Corp. in the cafeteria for Thompson Elementary and Lewis Cass High School. She was a member of the Onward Christian Church in Onward. Her grandchildren were her life and she enjoyed them immensely.
Survivors are husband, Darl Dean Deniston, Walton; son, Richard D. and wife Jen Deniston, Monticello; grandchildren Brady and Keeley. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Rev. Rod Mason officiating. Burial will be in Walton IOOF cemetery in Walton. Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
