Gladys Rash, 70, Greentown, died at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at her residence. She was born March 8, 1940, in Charter Oak, Mo., to Ira and Taft (Asher) Vandiver. On July 26, 1959, she married Ronald Rash, and they were married for 51 years.
She graduated from Tipton High School in 1959. She was employed at Delco Radio for a few years and Country Cook Inn.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald; son Randy (Kim) Rash, Greentown; daughter Cynthia Lynn “Cindy” Rash, Kokomo; sister Fay Holder, Florida; brother Jim (Sue) Vandiver, Summitville; brother Larry Vandiver, Florida; brother Roger (Becky) Vandiver, Kokomo; sister Debbie (Tim) Harris, Elwood; and sister Donna (Lee) Lowe, Kokomo. Gladys loved her grandkids dearly, Cpl. Justin (Tina) Rash, Yuma, Ariz., where Justin is serving as a corporal in the United States Marines; Jessica Rash, Greentown; one great-grandchild due in March 2011; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and two special aunts, Aunt Martha Ray and Aunt Nellie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister Sharon Garmon.

Services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hasler and Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown, with Sandy Peters officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown, following the service. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
