Wanda K. Parker, 67, Kokomo, died at 1:20 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at her home. She was born June 17, 1945, in Elwood, the daughter of Ralph and Charlotte (Tyner) Henderson. On March 14, 1964, at Morning Star Church in Kokomo, she married James Parker, and he survives.
Wanda was a 1963 graduate of Kokomo High School, and was a beautician and homemaker. She also had worked at Sears. She attended Morning Star Church, and led the ladies Bible study. She enjoyed growing flowers, travel and Florida. She loved her family, and was a very loving lady.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 48 years, James; two sons, Timothy (Kelly Rebuck) Parker and children Thad and Abbi; Todd (Jane) Parker and children Sydney, Lilly and Josh; brother, Jim Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nancy Henderson.
Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Chapel Hill Christian Church, 2600 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Gary Soble officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
