Ruth Olive (Millard) Kincaid

March 30, 1927 - Oct. 10, 2012

Ruth Olive (Millard) Kincaid, 85, Franklin, formerly of Kokomo and Mulberry, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin. Ruth was born March 30, 1927, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to the late Howard and Olive Ruth (Moore) Millard. She married Robert Wayne Kincaid on Jan. 1, 1947, in Kokomo. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2007, after 60 devoted years of marriage.

She was a 1945 graduate of Kokomo High School, and retired in 1987 as a telephone operator with Indiana Bell Telephone Company after many years of service. Ruth was a member of the Morgantown Baptist Church and a former member of the Scott Lake Baptist Church in Lakewood, Fla. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her family and friends. Ruth also enjoyed bowling and playing the piano.

Survivors are her daughters, Cheryl (Lee) Snider, Morgantown, and Carol Ann Thorn, Hendersonville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Ryan (Ines) Snider, Fort Bragg, N.C., and Rachel Snider, Trafalgar; and one great-grandson, Avery Gannon Rose.

Ruth was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Millard Jr.

The Rev. Lee Snider will conduct a Celebration of Life service at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Franklin Methodist Community Wright Chapel, 1070 W. Jefferson St., Franklin. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the chapel.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
