Mary Ellen Mattice

Kokomo — Mary Ellen Mattice, 65, Peru, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Mattice; her children, Kelli J. Mattice and partner Jo Halstead, Port St. Lucie, Fla., Allen W. Mattice, Peru, and Kelly Hotsinpiller and her husband, Gary, Logansport; a stepson, John Erickson, Bunker Hill; grandchildren, Alyssa, Kaylee, Redik and Joshua; a brother, Frank Whiterd and wife Janet, Kokomo; sisters Edie Lightsey, Loxley, Ala., and Judy Bell, North Carolina; and her first great-grandchild, due to be born in November.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David “Butch” Tate.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru. Burial will be in Mast Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
