— Edwin “Allen” Vossler, 65, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, in his home. Allen was born Aug. 8, 1946, in Marion, the son of the late Edwin C. and Harriet (Beavers) Vossler. On Feb. 7, 1975, he married Mary Hass, who survives.
He worked as an electrician for Local #873 until his retirement, and was an Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He loved watching NASCAR and all kinds of car racing. Allen’s friends will remember him as an electrician and adventurer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Vossler, Sweetser; son, Seth (Karen) Vossler, and Karen’s children, Mark and Savanna, all from Swayzee; and brother, Vaughn Vossler, Peru.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nicki and Lisa.
Funeral services will be noon Friday at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion. Military honors will follow funeral services at the funeral home. Cremation will take place after services. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until services Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the MS Society.
