Emanuel Wayne McAninch, 77, Kokomo, died at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at his residence. Born Aug. 28, 1932, in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Virgil McAninch and Esther (Wright). On May 21, 1977, in Kokomo, he married Wolson Ann Hwang, and she survives.
He was employed with Delco Electronics as a radio inspector, retiring after 40 years of service. He was a member and volunteer at Grace United Methodist Church since 1982. He was also a member of UAW Local 292. He loved photography, traveling, his church, and most of all, his family.
Survivors include his wife, Wolson Ann McAninch, Kokomo; two sons, John (Sandy) McAninch, Amboy, and Joe (Cindy) McAninch, Pine Bluff, Ark.; two stepsons, Tuk (Yuvonne) Doss, Wylie, Texas, and George Doss, Kokomo; two daughters, Nita (Michael) Wright and Karen Haworth, both of Kokomo; one stepdaughter, Jo Anna (Garry) Jones, Kokomo; two sisters, Wilma (Bob) Green, southern Indiana, and Mildred (Willard) Lytle, Florida; 28 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Virgil, Leonard and Robert McAninch; one sister, Alice Bowman; and two grandsons, Justin Conwell and Scott Haworth.
Services are noon Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church, 219 W. Mulberry St., Kokomo. Pastor Stephen Beutler will officiate. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.
