Norma Jean Duncan, 86, Kokomo, died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at North Woods Village Health Care. She was born June 6, 1924, in Kokomo, the daughter of Maurice and Zena (McKinley) Kelly. On Dec. 26, 1981, she married Paul E. Duncan, who preceded her in death July 13, 2004.
She retired from Delco Electronics in 1986 after 37 years of service. Norma Jean attended high school and lived in Forest for many years before moving to Kokomo.
She liked to shop for antiques and had a large collection of toothpick holders. She enjoyed traveling and had been to nine countries. She liked to go on cruises and went to Jamaica and the Bahamas. On one of her cruises, she went on the “Love Boat,” the TV show. Norma Jean enjoyed several trips to Nashville, Tenn., Branson, Mo., and New Orleans, La. Her favorite trip was to Hawaii. She loved her pets, Chewy and Chi-Chi.
Along with her love for her family, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Pathway of Hope Church. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors are a son, Gary Patmore, Kokomo; a daughter-in-law, the wife of Larry, Bonnie Patmore, Kokomo; grandchildren, Larry Patmore, Greg Patmore, Christine Harlan, Angie (David) Leyda, Jay Karp, and Aimee (Aaron) Keiper and Andy Patmore; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Larry Patmore; and grandson-in-law, Tom Harlan.
Service are 3 p.m. Tuesday at Stout and Son Funeral Home, Russiaville Chapel 200 E. Main St. Russiaville. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made to www.stoutandson.com
