Melba Elizabeth McCoy, 100, Surprise, Ariz., died Tuesday morning, March 9, 2010, at Hospice of Arizona in Sun City West, Ariz. She was born Feb. 1, 1910, in Scircleville, the daughter of Charles and Pearl (Power) Lewis. She married George McCoy on Dec. 22, 1929. He died Feb. 22, 1991.

She retired from Delco Radio and graduated from Russiaville High School. She was a member of Sun Village Community Church, a former member of Russiaville Christian Church, a member of the Ladies Aid from Russiaville Christian Church.

She loved sports and like to travel, taking several day trips around Arizona. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and cards.

Survivors are a daughter, Carol A. Martin and husband Wayne, Surprise, Ariz.; a son-in-law, Max Menefee, Ruidoso, N.M.; five grandchildren, Gregory Martin, Karen Martin, Douglas Martin, Kelly Hohn and Holly Blevins; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; a daughter, Linda Menefee; three brothers, Gilbert Lewis, William Lewis and Clifford Lewis; and a sister, Gertrude Younkin.

Service are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
