Kenneth E. Deitrich, Logansport, 80, died at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at his residence. He was born Oct. 20, 1929, in Logansport, to Robert Deitrich and Jessie Gertrude Soncarty. He married Carole Sue Smith on March 22, 1953, in the Galveston Methodist Church.
He was a farmer and a member of the Clymer’s United Methodist Church, Tipton Masonic Lodge No. 33, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Temple of Indianapolis, Logansport Shrine Club, Indiana Farm Bureau, Farm Bureau Credit Union Trustees, Elks Lodge No. 66, American Legion Post No. 60, Voiture No. 729 40 & 8, V.F.W. Post No. 3790 and the Clymer’s Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Deitrich was a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Sue Deitrich, Logansport; two daughters, Sandra Heckard and husband, John, Logansport, Beth Flagg and husband, Richard, New Haven; a son, Duane Deitrich and wife, Theresa, Logansport; eight grandchildren, Matthew Heckard and wife, Jessica, Acton, Kimberly Pursch and husband, Jeff, Noblesville, Zachary Deitrich, Logansport, Baleigh Deitrich, Logansport, Brooklyn Nicoson and husband, Matt, Zionsville, Erika Lynn Dubois, Evansville, Kyle Dubois, Lafayette, Jessica Dubois, Fort Wayne; three great-grandchildren, Makenzie Lynn, Alexander, Ruby, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Deitrich.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Drane will officiate. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery, Logansport, with full military rites. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Masonic services will be 7 p.m. today, followed by a Shrine processional.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals For Children, Clymer’s Volunteer Fire Department or the Clymer’s United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Squibb was born March 2, 1948, in Orange County, to Robert Dale and Mary Marguerite (Knowles) Owen and lived in Knox for six years, coming from Sharpsville. On Dec. 13, 1986, in Burlington, she was married to the Rev. Ray Squibb, who survives.

Berenice Jennings
Berenice Jennings 95, Kokomo, passed away at noon Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at North Woods Village in Kokomo. Born Sept. 18, 1916, in Frankfort, to James and Pearl (Trapp) Donoho. Berenice lived for many years in Lafayette, where she worked at George Evans Jewelry Store. While in Lafayette, Berenice was instrumental in helping to start up the Lafayette Home Hospital Gift Shop, where she also worked as a volunteer. In December 1975, she married Jack Jennings, who preceded her in death in 1993. After moving to Kokomo, Berenice was an avid bridge player and played often at the Senior Center in Kokomo.

LaVonne Ellen (Wright) Parsons
LaVonne Ellen (Wright) Parsons, 84, Kokomo, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. She was born on Dec. 17, 1927, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, to the late Carl and Alta (Fowl) Wright. LaVonne attended Kokomo High School and graduated in 1946. On Nov. 2, 1947, LaVonne married Raymond Parsons in Kokomo, and he proceeded her in death in March 2001. LaVonne worked as a legal secretary for attorneys Kenneth Shockley and Floyd Cook, as well as working for the law firms of Bayliff, Harrigan, Cord and Maugins from 1946 to 1976. She was the secretary in the Physical Plant at St. Joseph Hospital from 1970 to 1975. She also worked as the administrative secretary for the chancellor of Indiana University in Kokomo from 1976 to 1991. Upon retirement, she volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital from 1991 until June 2011. Starting in 2001 until June 2011, LaVonne also clerked at the St. Joseph Hospital Gift Shop. LaVonne and her husband, Raymond were charter members of the Highland Park Church, where they started attending in 1947.
