Richard H. Hill, 75, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at his residence. He was born Dec. 10, 1933, to Horace and Anna Mae (Whitmore) Hill in Delton, Mich. On Aug. 30, 1955, he married Kajie (Mukai) Hill in Tokyo and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2001.
Richard served in the Army during the Korean conflict and worked at Delco for 20 years, retiring in 1998. He was an active member of the Kokomo area Tapers Church.
He is survived by his sons, Don and wife Ann Hill, Kokomo, Steven and wife Renee Hill, Novi, Mich.; daughter, Kathryn Hill, Lafayette; sisters, Betty Whitman, Bonnie Ferguson, and Pat Waldrop; grandchildren, Ryan Layton, Brad Layton, Brianna Hill, Michael Hill, Stephanie and husband Nick Parker and Ryan Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Hill.
A service is 3 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with calling hours two hours prior to the service.
