Kirk E. Tucker

July 3, 1965 - Nov. 15, 2012

Kirk E. Tucker, 47, Kokomo, died at 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on July 3, 1965, to Max E. and Judith R. (Gillem) Tucker in Kokomo. Kirk married Pamela A. Lynas on Sept. 22, 2001, in Kokomo, and she survives.

Kirk is a 1985 Kokomo High School graduate. Most recently, he was working at Howard County Home Builders, and also had worked for Resturia vending at Delco Electronics. Kirk was a member of Souls Harbor Church. He liked doing puzzles, bowling, playing his guitar, and adored his grandson. Kirk served 20 years in the Army National Guard and was activated during Desert Storm.

Survivors are his wife, Pam Tucker, Kokomo; mother, Judy Hayes, Kokomo; father, Max (Jane) Tucker, Peru; daughter, Jessica Tucker; son, Justin Tucker, both of Kokomo; grandson, Landon Tucker; stepson, Jeff Gillem, Kokomo; three brothers, Kent (Kim) Tucker, Jerry Tucker, both of Kokomo, Jeff (Heather) Tucker, Noblesville; twin step-granddaughters, Brooke and Brittiani Gillem; step-grandsons, Jacob and Austin Gillem; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Jason, Kristin, Rachelle, Sara, Miles, Max and Michael.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; stepfather, Kenneth Hayes; stepson, Bradley Gillem; and nephew, Kaden Michael Tucker.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Jim Strunk officiating. Burial will be at Galveston Cemetery in Galveston. Friends are invited to call from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences can be made at www.stoutandson.com.
