Charles C. Mitchell

Charles C. Mitchell, 81, Kokomo, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at his home.

He was born July 25, 1931. He married Shirley Ann (Johnson) Mitchell, and she preceded him in death.

He is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Charles W. Mitchell, Elkhart, Richard L. and Espie Mitchell, Kokomo, James G. Mitchell, Kokomo, and Jeffery L. and Marci Mitchell, Grand Rapids, Michigan; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan D. and Darrell Van Horn, Madison, Ga.; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy L. Mitchell, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Services are 1 p.m. today at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Van Horn officiating. Burial will be in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
