Jim C. Maggart, 74, Galveston, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born July 17, 1938, in Smithville, Tenn., to Lincoln R. and Brycie (Sparks) Maggart. He married Cathy (Klise) Maggart on Oct. 8, 1960, in Logansport, and she survives.
Jim served in the U.S. Navy. He worked in construction for 16 years, then worked as a millwright for Delphi, retiring after 30 years of service. Then he drove a school bus for Southeastern School Corp. for 10 years. He was a member of UAW 292, and enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with his family
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Maggart, Galveston; son, Joe and Lori Maggart, Royal Center; daughter, Chris and Jeff Slater, Galveston; four grandchildren, J.D. and Danny Maggart, and Claire and Hollie Slater; two sisters, Sue Parsley and Janet (Dick) Lucas, both from Logansport; and three brothers, Bob (Yvonne) Maggart, Burnettesville, Jerry (Barb) Maggart, Walton, and David (Susie) Maggart, Rochester.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Earl Maggart.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston, with Rev. Marty Purcel officiating. Burial will be in Onward Deer Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Denver R. Walker, 61, Kokomo, formerly of Ridge Farm, Ill., passed away at 6:38 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Century Villa Health Care. He was born Nov. 1, 1951, in Danville, Ill., the son of Denver Ralph and Sarah (Walthall) Walker. On June 7, 1997, he married Cynthia L. “Cindy” Hultz from Veedersburg, and she survives him.

Fred was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Kokomo, to the late Emmett and Dorothy (Clark) Bagwell. He graduated from Kokomo High School.

Christine “Granny” “Mother Goose” Cornelia Ligon, 96, Kokomo, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. She was born Oct. 25, 1916, in Baron Plain, Tenn., the daughter of the late Tommy and Laura (Turner) King. On July 21, 1934, Christine married Timothy Calvin Ligon Jr. and they were happily married until his passing on Nov. 3, 1956.

Delores Mae Spicer, on May 16, 2013, at the age of 81, gently passed this life in her sleep and was reunited with her husband Jack Wayne Spicer Sr., her Heavenly Father, her Savior, and her beloved son Jerry Dana Spicer.
