Virginia E. Mundy, 79, Kokomo, died at 9:41 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at her home. She was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Caledonia, N.Y., to her parents Charles and Clella (Meek) Erickson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd C. Mundy, whom she married May 30,1948. He died Sept. 1, 2001.
She was a homemaker and a silversmith. Her hobbies and interests included making jewelry, reading, collecting Indian artifacts, and working in her garden.
Her survivors include her children Marsha (Rodger) Gamblin, Tipton, Curtiss W. (Marge) Mundy, Kokomo, Debra (Larry) Harris, Blaine Mundy, Carolyn Grammar, Richard Mundy, all of Kokomo; a sister, Marilyn (Jim) Brown, Kokomo; two brothers Don (Wanita) Erickson, Kokomo, and Everett (Linda) Erickson, Bennett Switch; nine grandchildren. Robin (Darrin) Fraizer, Jennifer (Ryan) Retz, Todd Mundy, Megan Mundy, Brian (Melesna) Harris, Susan (Eric) Eads, Troy Grammar, Sarah Grammar, Brittnay Mundy; 14 great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Carolyn (Larry) Rand and Linda (Jim) Stout.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Erickson, and son-in-law, Tom Grammer.
Services are noon Wednesday at Stout and Son Funeral Home, Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., with Pastor Paul Sutherland. Burial is in Albright Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
