Barbara Jean Brock, 86, Kokomo and formerly Tulsa, Okla., went to be with the Lord at 12:08 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. Born Feb. 11, 1926, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Emery Swing and Geneva Katherine (Calhoun). On July 3, 1965, in Hartsville, Tenn., she married Lyle Wayne Brock Jr. He survives.
She was a homemaker and an ordained minister at the Church of Gospel Ministries. She was a member of the Victory Christian Center in Tulsa, Okla. and the Oral Roberts Ministries. She loved word searches and her cats.
Survivors include her husband, Lyle Wayne Brock Jr., Kokomo; four sons, David (Rosa) Riley, Kokomo, Michael (Tamara) Riley, Kokomo, Christopher Brian Skinner, Kokomo, and Steven Michael Riley, Tulsa, Okla.; five daughters, Cathy Jean Riley, Kokomo, Debra (Don) Beechum, Tennessee, Connie Sue Alley, Tennessee, Patricia Louise Eckels, Tennessee, and Cheryl Elaine Riley, Kokomo; 24 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Steven Lewis Riley and Frederick Martin Riley.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo. Pastor James Ball will officiate. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
