Elbert O. Boone

Elbert O. Boone, 97, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at St Elizabeth Health Care in Delphi. Elbert was born July 17, 1915, in Miami, the son of the late Carl E. Boone and Mary A (Bion) Boone. He was a graduate of Somerset High School. Elbert was a retired farmer and resided 60 years in Wabash County. On Oct. 10, 1987, he married Dena C. Bell of Flora.

He was a member of Flora United Methodist Church and is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dena C. Bell, and an aunt, Dortha Cary, Walton.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Genda Funeral Home, Reinke Chapel, in Flora. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Galveston Cemetery.
