Diana Lynn (Burton) Orem, 66, Knightstown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
She was born July 24, 1946, in Kokomo, the daughter of Walter and Gerty (Ball) Burton.
Diana was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Castle, where she was a very active member and involved with children’s education and church musicals. She was an assistant at Mays Veterinary Clinic. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and Bible Study Fellowship. Diana was a very artistic person, avid Purdue fan who enjoyed raising her children and being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Phillip D. Orem, Knightstown; a son, Patrick Burton Orem, Pittsburgh, Pa.; four daughters, Philana Dee (Eric) Blum, Greenfield, Anjanetta Marie (Brian) Oricoli, Pickerington, Ohio, Alicia Mae Orem, Madison, Wis., Autumn Daylnn (Joseph) Paul, West Harrison; her mother, Gerty Burton, Kokomo; two grandchildren, AJ and Bellamarie Oricoli; a brother, Keith Burton, Connecticut; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Burton.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church in New Castle, with Pastor Jerry Ingalls and Pastor Dan Yeager officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in New Castle. Arrangements were entrusted to Condo & Son Funeral Home, Wilkinson.
