Don J. Mygrant, 79, Westerville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013. He was born to the late Scott and Julia Mygrant on Jan. 10, 1934, in Kokomo.
Don was witty with a great sense of humor. He had an infectious laugh and generous heart. Nothing delighted him more than a good game of cards.
Don was a proud Eagle Scout. He retired from JC Penney as a store manager after 38 years of service. He and wife, Johnny enjoyed winters in Lakeland, Fla., following spring training of the Detroit Tigers.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Carl Mygrant.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Johnita; children, Steven J. (Cynthia) Mygrant, J. Scott (Linda) Mygrant, Julie (Kyle) Wood; grandchildren, Marissa Wood, Mark Mygrant, Lindsey Wood, Michael Mygrant, John Mygrant, Dan Mygrant, K. Eric Wood, and Elizabeth Mygrant; and cousins, extended family and friends.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, Ohio, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
