Robert ‘Rob’ Smith

March 3, 1942 — Dec. 1, 2012

Robert “Rob” Smith, 70, Kokomo, passed away at 6:52 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. He was born March 3, 1942 in West Lafayette to the late Richard Smith and Helen (Eickenberry) Jenkins.

Rob worked at Delco for 35 years until retiring in 1996. He was a group leader and belonged to the UAW #292. Rob also was a member of the Eagles Post 255. He enjoyed playing pool, gardening, bird watching and his family.

Surviving is his son, Andrew Smith, Sharpsville; and his significant other, Linda Phillips.

Robert was proceeded in death by his parent;, and Andrew’s mother, Kandy Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., with Pastor Garritt Stryker officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 to 1 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
