Barbara Ellen McClish, 68, Kokomo, passed away at 10:15 p.m., Dec. 8, 2012, at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru. She was born on Aug. 11, 1944, in Newberry County, S.C., to the late John Henry and Edna Beatrice (Easler) Osborne. On April 1, 1983, Barbara married Rockey McClish.
Barbara served in several capacities in managerial and clerical work throughout her life. She was a member of Kokomo Woman’s Bowling Association, the American Legion, and she attended Forest Baptist Church, in Forest. Barbara loved to bowl, play golf, and make crafts. She was also an avid card player. Barbara loved children and spending time with her family and her friends. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are Rockey McClish, Kokomo; her son, Rockey James McClish II, Baton Rouge, La.; one daughter, Rebecca (David) Jorgenson, Medical Lake, Wash.; one sister, Shelby (Charles) Liggett, Estill Springs, Tenn.; one grandchild, Anthony Jorgenson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Connie Campbell; and one brother, Lamar Osborne.
Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Thursday at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., with Pastor Bill Carmichael officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions in Barbara’s memory may be made to Hope Hospice, 1025 Michigan Ave., Suite 25, Logansport, IN 46947. Envelopes will be provided at the mortuary. Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
