Snow removal appreciated

“I would like to thank the person who plowed the snow from the walkway along West Lincoln Road.
“My dog and I have walked this path every day for the past several months.
“Because of the deep snow, we were forced to walk down Gleneagle Drive and back.
“It’s so nice to have this path cleared, so whomever the person or persons are who did this, it is greatly appreciated. God bless you.”
Businessmen look out for others

“I would like to send a Cheer to Dave Granson of Engel Jewelers and John Rosborough of Sound of Music.
“I want to thank these gentlemen for a fine job of being out early and keeping their sidewalks free of ice and snow. Not only do they treat the walks in front of their stores, but they also make sure the walks are safe on either side. This may seem like a small gesture to some, but I’m sure I am not the only downtown employee who appreciates it.”
Children enjoy Parks’ program

“The Kokomo Parks Department does a fantastic job putting on the Gingerbread Program. Monica Reed and the staff are terrific, and the kindergarten children love the trip! A definite thumbs-up!”

Students show leadership
County councilman Paul Wyman sends this Cheer:
“I would like to take this opportunity to say ‘great job’ to the students of the Howard County Youth Leadership Summit program.
“Just before the holidays, these students undertook a canned food drive and collected 2,000 cans of food. These cans were delivered to the Rescue Mission so that people less fortunate may have some food during these cold winter months.
“Congratulations to these students representing Kokomo, Western, Northwestern, Eastern and Taylor high schools. Helping others in times of need is a great example of your leadership skills.”
