Peru police continue robbery investigation

PERU — The Peru Police Department is investigating an armed robbery last month at First Merchants Bank, 990 W. Main St.

Officers arrived on scene Dec. 11 around 4:30 p.m. after the bank reported a man walked into the building and displayed a handgun. Police said the man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

He was last seen walking from the bank across Main Street. He was then seen running back across Main Street toward the Kmart parking lot minutes later.

Police said the man was approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build. He was wearing a light-colored hoodie sweatshirt, blue jeans and had some type of covering on his face.

Anyone with information can call Miami County Crime Stoppers at 765-472-0868. Callers may qualify for a cash reward.

 

Howard County arrests

Thursday, 5 p.m., deputies arrested Jackie L. Lyttle, 22, Elwood, at the Howard County jail, on a warrant charge of failure to appear.

Friday, 9:30 a.m., deputies arrested Thomas L. Carrico, 40, 300 block of West Mulberry Street, at the Howard County jail, on a warrant charge of failure to appear.

Friday, 9:33 a.m., deputies arrested Kasey A. Hutchins, 38, 1000 block of North Forest Drive, at the Howard County jail, on a petition to revoke suspended sentence.

Friday, 11:20 a.m., deputies arrested Kyle L. Stacy, 32, 300 block of Danbury Drive, at the Howard County jail, on a petition to revoke suspended sentence.

Friday, 1:50 p.m., deputies arrested Dezmon D. Fouce, 26, 700 block of North Union Street, at the Carroll County Jail, on a warrant charge of failure to appear.

Friday, 2:21 p.m., deputies arrested Travis R. Chagoya, 30, Windfall, at County Roads 900 East and 500 South, on a body attachment warrant.

Friday, 6:56 p.m., deputies arrested Kristopher R. Williams, 28, 700 block of Twyckingham Lane, at County Roads 1400 East and 00 North/South, on a petition to revoke suspended sentence and on a parole violation.

Friday, 7:09 p.m., deputies arrested Joseph M. Soupley, 28, Galveston, at home, on a felony warrant charge of theft.

Saturday, 12:10 a.m., state police arrested Andre Bridge, 33, Columbus, Miss., at U.S. 31 and Lincoln Road, on a charge of operating while intoxicated.

Saturday, 12:20 a.m., deputies arrested David R. McClure, 34, 1100 block of East North Street, at the Howard County jail, on a warrant charge of mischief.

Sunday, 9:36 a.m., deputies arrested Kristopher M. Carlson, 27, 11000 block of East 200 North, Greentown, at home, on a warrant charge of failure to appear.

Saturday, 4:35 p.m., deputies arrested Michael D. Galloway, 39, 300 block of West Mulberry Street, at the Howard County jail, on a body attachment warrant.

Saturday, 7:10 p.m., deputies arrested Steven E. Delon, 40, 800 block of East Hoffer Street, at the Howard County jail, on a petition to revoke suspended sentence.
