Teen fatally injured at Marion bull-riding event

Marion — Authorities say a teenager was fatally injured during a bull-riding event over the weekend at a central Indiana county's fairgrounds.

The Grant County coroner's office says 18-year-old Caleb Tinsman of Farmland suffered blunt force trauma to his chest and abdominal area from a bull at the Grant County 4-H Fairgrounds in Marion.

Deputy Coroner Chris Butche tells the Chronicle-Tribune that Tinsman's death Friday night has been ruled accidental.

The Star Press of Muncie reports Tinsman was a senior at Randolph County's Union High School and that he was participating in an event sponsored by the Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association.
